Beckett's Dominance

I changed my mind. Beckett was so good last night that I have to go over some stats. From Peter Gammons' blog (Insider required):
He gave up a leadoff single to Chone Figgins. After that, he faced 30 batters, threw 27 first-pitch strikes, and to those 30 hitters did not throw a ball to 16 of them.
108 pitches, 83 for strikes. Remarkable. That 4-0 lead felt like 20-0 the way Beckett was pitching. It was one of those games we'll remember for a long time, like Pedro in relief in game 5 of the 1999 ALDS.

Okay, this will be all I mention of this. Go read about it somewhere else.

I believe only two batters even saw a three ball count.

Just an amazing performance.
